Club Harlem x The Butter Factory
CELESTE: We're baacck!!! Tokyo is tha freaking bomb!! I wish we could've stayed longer. Each time I leave Tokyo, it's always with a heavy heart. This was our first official work trip to Tokyo as The Butter Factory and Tokyo's biggest Hiphop Club Harlem had a first time ever collaboration.
On the 21st of Nov, DJ Hazime + Safari (Resident DJs of Harlem's Saturday "Blow out" nights) had a gig at The Butter Factory. Our very own DJ Drem + Beatboxer Dharni took the stage at Club Harlem on the 29th of Nov. Check out the flyers.

Day 1:
Hiro (the best host ever) picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel in Shibuya. Too bad we had rain the whole day! We walked around Shibya and shopped a bit. we also went to check out the 'busiest starbucks in the world', too bad we weren't allowed to take pictures, I snuck one in, but then you can't really see much, looks like any other coffee place ha. At night we met up with the President/CEO of Club Harlem, then we had dinner with the Harlem crew, then went to meet Naoko (DJ Hasebe's Manager) at Club Nuts, it was pretty empty at Nuts though, so after a few drinks we left and went to meet the Harlem crew at their homeground where it was "free flow" of beer and tequilla redbull shots. Yes that's how they do it in Tokyo. U read right. Tequilla shots with a dash of redbull. That shit is nasty and potent as hell. Needless to say they pretty much slaughtered the 3 of us. But it was hella fun!!!!

>> My lil sis flew in from HK to join us :)
>> Taking a short break after too much shopping
>> Dharni ran into his B-boys from SG.
>> Meeting with the President/CEO of Harlem.
>> Dinner with the Harlem crew, from L: Hiro, Dre, Dharni, Me, Dj Hazime, Dj Safari & Dj Inoken. Dinner was super yums, the beer and sake kept coming!!!! These Japanese pp can really drink.
>> Dharni sucking the head of a raw ebi, eeewww. Yes he dirty like that. Day 2:
Spent the day shopping in Harajuku. And also tried Lotteria Burger for the first time. If you haven't had Lotteria Burger, your life is incomplete.
You know the saying: Good things come in small packages. I usually disagree, but in this case. They got it right. Hot dammmnn!!!
Cho Oishii desu.
At night, we met with Hiro & Mariko who took us to Club Camelot where DJ Safari was spinning. Then at around 430am we ended up back at Club Harlem. It's crazy how late the parties end in Tokyo. After Harlem we ended up at Denny's for supper. Where I had my favorite Hamburg steak. sllurrrp.
>> THE Lotteria Burger.
>> Happiness. Love. Warmth. Joy. Fuzziness. All good things rolled into one.
>> The boys posing and trying to get the attention of the Japanese female species.
>> Me & Mariko
>> L to R: BIG BOSS, Dre, Hiro
I asked: "So why is he the Big Boss? What is he the Big Boss of?"
Ans: "He is big boss... of Big Boss"
I didn't ask any further haha.
>> The Master of The Body Language. His body conquers all language barriers.
>> Big Pimpin' (and a heartbreaker too - he ditched her for supper with us at Denny's hahaha)
>> The picture speaks for itselfDay 3:
The day that really matters. SHOWTIME!!!! Club Harlem (Bx Cafe)

>> Sound check at BX Cafe (which is the top floor of Club Harlem)
>> Pre show jitters calm down drink
>> N guess what we saw on the walls of the bar we had drinks at. Familiar eh? haha
>> Guess who else was in Town and turned up at Harlem to show some love? My favoritest vegetarian friend (not that I have many hee hee) Mr. Jon Burgerman :))
>>Chilin in the VIP - 10 mins to showtime
>> DJ DREM on the decks
And BAM! It's shoow time! 1st set was at the main Hiphop room in Club Harlem.
After the 1st set, we were ushered out a backdoor, climbed a flight of stairs and got to BX Cafe. Top floor of Harlem.

After the show, we all got plastered yet again on beer & those damn tequila redbull shots!
After the crazy partying, 15 of us (the 3 of us, my Singaporean friend Justin and the whole Japanese crew) drunk as hell invaded Denny's our good ol' family restaurant (again 2 nights in a row) for late night/morning supper. Yes, Hamburg steak again. I wish i was more sober to savour the taste haha.
Hiro is one amazing beer drinker, he drank at Denny's till 10 in the morning, and still showed up for lunch 2 and a half hours later, and even sent us to the airport. Thank you soo much Hiro. You are really the best!!
Yamaguchi san from Asahi beer, took us for a yummy lunch before we had to go to the airport. I forgot to take a group pic at lunch because I was way too hungover from the night before. But my sister took some pics of the yummy lunch Yamaguchi-san bought us :)
Off to the airport....

I hate leaving Tokyo. It makes me sad

Mad Love and respect for the Club Harlem crew. They were the most amazing hosts and we had such a good time.
Cheers to new friendships and opportunities.

What a week!
CELESTE: I have NEVER ever been THIS tired... EVER!
It started on Thursday, with the launch of BUTTER LOVES - our new merchandise range.
Nice intimate get-together at a pretty cool space... with good friends, good music, free booze and free food. What's there not to like right? haha

how cute are our Tshirt boxes?! I'll leave Yen/Bobby or Adrian to blog more about the Tshirt Launch... as they were the ones organsing the event whilst Jiali, Andrew & ! focused on FLOAT... our first mega event. Considering it's our very first attempt at such a large scale event ... we had a turnout of about 3000!! whooo!!! I think we did great, and tired as I am, it's just amazing knowing that we have such a super team that pulled this off. It was also incredibly tiring co-ordinating so many performers/djs, but in the end I think it was worth it just having everyone get along and hanging out.
So after Thursday event, Friday we started meeting up DJs who came in early. By 145am everyone had gathered in Andrew's room n we procceded on our journey to Butter Factory. When the club closed at 3am, we ended up back at the hotel, all 15 or more so of us squashed in one tiny room (poor Andrew & Leroy) out of which 12 are prob smokers... imagine the mess and the smell!!! After drinking, I still ended up at breakfast in the hotel lobby, I think by the time I made it back to my room and fell asleep it might have already been almost 8am!!! The next morning I got up at 10am!!! and didn't get any more sleep after... by 3pm we were at the Marina Bay Floating Platform for sound check.

>> In the day there was also wakeboarding activities going on... Check out the amazing set up and view from the grandstand:

Whilst the DJs/performers took turns to go back to the hotel to rest and shower and change, the butter crew had no such luxury. By 8pm, I thought I was seeing things move... had to sit down for a bit... when I looked up..
HaHAHAAH... look at Bobby and DJ Drem going at it... that (and the 5 cans of redbull and 3 coffees) really woke me up!

Tina & DJ Leroy (Malaysia)
Dharni, DJ Licca, MC Gold Mountain (HK)
DJ LiccaMThe party ended at 4am and we headed back to the hotel for more drinks (at this point I still only had 2+hours of sleep the night before)... we ended at 7am and on Sunday I thought I was going to die... stayed in all day and managed to drag myself out at 1030pm Sunday night where we took those who were left for relaxing drinks. And again on Monday I really thought I had NO MORE energy... but Hapa was the last one left so we hung out again on Monday night (haha by then poor Candice was sound asleep)...
I finally checked out today afternoon... I AM SUPER TIRED!!!!
I am looking forward to at least 7 hours of sleep. I can't wait. I'm sooo excited to be home in my comfy bed, not drunk.
Ahh the little things in life
There are too many pictures, will need more time before uploading them on our photo site.
I'll leave you with my 2 favorite pictures: Who do u think is in more pain? Bobby or Adrian?
